USACE
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) builds and operates many major U.S. reservoirs. On Lake Insights, USACE projects often supply pool guides, conservation and flood pools, and project gage data for southeastern impoundments.

Why it matters on the water
When a lake page lists USACE as the source, the elevation numbers usually trace to a project pool schedule and gage network—not a generic third-party estimate. Seasonal bands (summer full, winter low, flood storage) are spelled out in Corps documentation for that dam.
USACE does not replace USGS on every creek feeding the lake, or NOAA for weather—but together they describe pool, inflow, and atmosphere.
